The End

Evidently, there are many Christian themes present in Disney's classic "The Lion King."

From symbols of Christian beliefs such as worship, temptation and ceremonies, to that of Christian figures, such as God the Father, Son &Holy Spit and Satan, there are many themes present in both  the Christian Religion and "The Lion King."

Perhaps the most striking similarity between the two is the comparison between the two images presented above. Both Simba and Jesus were strong and inspirational leaders who wanted the very best for their people. They encouraged everyone to do good while upholding the wishes of their Fathers.

Overall, the use of imagery in The Lion King is a large aspect of what makes this animated movie so comparable to Christian themes. Likewise, I developed this website using images, colours and effects that were suitable to the theme at question. Additionally, pairing various phrases taken from the Lord's prayer with images and scenes from The Lion King did not prove to be a challenging task as there are so many themes that exist in both Christianity and this Disney animation. Using these techniques effectively demonstrates the many interesting similarities between the two.

I hope you have learned much about the themes which are shared between Christian tradition and Disney's "The Lion King" film.

Here is a list of the sources used to inspire the ideas that were shared throughout this website.

Feel free to leave comments, critiques & questions at the bottom of this page.

" Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,

then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.

Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

In your relationships with one another,

have the same mindset as Christ Jesus"

Philippians 2:1-5
